Supervision

My approach as a clinical supervisor focuses on the whole person as they train or work as a counsellor/psychotherapist. I have chosen to employ the Hawkins and Shohet Seven Eyed Model of supervision as it integrates a number of counselling approaches within its framework to gain a holistic overview of our therapeutic work.

The Seven Eyed Model places a strong emphasis on self-reflection to gain greater awareness of the therapeutic process, inter-intra personal relationships, interventions and the wider context including social, cultural and organisational elements that could influence the therapeutic relationship.

Therefore, the dynamic process of supervision can help nurture professional and personal growth, refine skills and contribute to a safe, ethical and effective practice.
